I know it has been like a decade ago since the last time I came here and write something ... but there is something that I really wanna say ... something that if I don't say it out loud or express myself ... I just couldn't get pass myself ... so here it goes ... please let me go crazy for a little while ... just bear with me ...

People who know me well know that I am a pretty huge sports fan ... I would watch ESPN every single day (if I have the channel) ... I would find out the result of my favorite teams whenever I have time ... I couldn't focus on the things that I am working on if I know my favorite teams are having their games ... I would even ask Kelly to text me the latest scores just to know whether they are leading or trailing ... you might think I am crazy or over the limit but that's how I love sports ... because I love the excitement of the games ... like those game winning baskets ... walk-off home runs ... and also the sportsmanship of the game ... that's why I love sports ...

But in today's sports are totally different ... it becomes nothing but all business ... nothing but TV ratings ... nothing but market value ... nothing but selfish decisions ... it makes the game different from the games we used to watch ... let me try to explain what I mean by that with 2 examples ...

On April 12 2009 ... the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are playing the Stinky Sox at Angels Stadium ... in the 1st inning ... Josh Beckett is the pitcher for the Sox ... Chone Figgins was on 2nd base and Bobby Abreu was in the batter's box ... on a 1-2 pitch ... Beckett looking at home plate and 2nd base back and forth ... back and forth for more than 10 seconds after getting the sign from the catcher Jason Varitak ... the official called a timeout (you can hear it clearly in the video) ... but Beckett threw the ball anyways ... and the ball was straight towards Abreu's head ... Abreu ducked and the ball flew by ... it didn't hit his head ... after that ... Beckett started to walk towards the home plate and both benches are emptied ... at the end of the day ... 4 Angels were being ejected ... and no Sox personnel were being ejected ... below is the link to the incident ...

After that day ... the league review the game and decided to suspended Beckett for 6 games ... then Beckett appeal the charge the the punishment reduced to 5 games ... which games Beckett will not miss a start (starting pitchers usually pitch 1 game and rest 4 days to pitch for another game because of the pitching rotation) ...

Here is my thought ... in baseball games ... if the batter walked towards the mound in this kind of situation ... he would get ejected for sure ... but how come pitchers could walk towards the home plate in this situation ... in the video ... you can see the aggressiveness of Beckett walking towards the home plate ... but at the end ... he could stay in the game until the 6th inning ... and even reduced the suspension to 5 games ... that's simply means no punishment at all ... and why would that happened ... because the next start for Beckett will be a Saturday home game against the Orioles ... Beckett used to be (or he is now still) the Ace for the Sox and that Saturday game will boost the TV ratings on the National TV ... and could see if the Sox could slow down the red hot Orioles ... and the saddest thing is ... if Beckett is playing for other teams ... I am sure the suspension will be at least 6 games and even more ...

On April 28 2009 ... the NBA Eastern Conference First-Round playoffs were underway ... with Bulls playing at Celtics and 76ers playing at Magic ... during the 76ers vs Magic game ... after battling for a rebound ... Magic's Dwight Howard threw an elbow to Samuel Dalembert and it hit Dalembert's left chin ... the referee called a technical foul on Howard ... after the league review the game ... Dwight Howard got suspended 1 game because of the elbowing ... on the other hand ... it went into overtime again between the Bulls and the Celtics ... Celtics were leading by 2 points and Bulls have the ball with 3.4 seconds left ... the Bulls inbound the ball to Brad Miller who had a clear path to the basket ... he dribble to the basket and try to make a lay-up shot ... then Rajon Rondo of the Celtics from 4 feet away jump at Miller and try to guard him ... Rondo didn't get any of the ball ... but slap on Miller's head that made his lips bleed ... the referee called a shooting foul ... it took Miller almost 5 minutes to stop bleeding before he could take the foul shots ... then after the bleeding finally stopped ... Miller stepped to the line and missed both foul shots ... and there goes the game ...

Here is my thought ... I think Howard's suspension is right ... you threw an elbow intentionally ... whether it hit someone or not ... you get suspended ... in Rondo's case ... here is what I think ... the Boston Celtics (did I just said Boston again? what a coincidence!) are obviously without Kevin Garnett ... their season is on the wire and obviously the Bulls have the ability to beat the Celtics in a 7 game series ... when I saw Rondo fouling Miller ... I thought that should be a flagrant foul and I have 2 reasons ... Miller had a clear path to the basket and he has a clear scoring opportunity ... Rondo was several feet away and with Miller extend his arm with the ball ... Rondo would not have the position to block Miller's shot ... he could only slap any part of Miller's body to stop him from scoring ... and at the end ... he slap Miller's head ... and Miller was bleeding for 5 minutes ... I mean if you miss a block ... you can slap on his arm or his body ... but on his head ... that's what I think is over the limit ... and more ridiculous thing is that the referee just call a shooting foul ... not a flagrant foul nor a technical foul ... because if you call that a flagrant foul ... that would totally change the outcome of the game ... so no referee would dare to call that ... and even after the game with the review of the game ... the league decided not to suspend Rondo ... I just don't get it ... where is the justice of the game ... where is the consistency of the ruling ... that really makes me dissapointed ...

Just some random thoughts ... if 1 of the referees called that a flagrant foul ... and the Bulls won the game ... and Rondo got a 1 game suspension like Howard did ... what would happened ... then the Celtics will be down 3-2 and the Bulls might have won the series because no KG and no Rondo for game 6 at home ... then all the TV ratings will be down because no one wants to sit there and watch the Cavaliers sweep the East and to go the NBA finals ... NBA will lose money ... Celtics will lose money ... TNT will lose money ... bars all over the US will lose money ... that's why Boston is the last city I wanna go in the world ... its just too brutal ... that's how it changes the face of sport today ...

Alright ... I done with my craziness ... please forgive me for my rough words ... let's see what happens next ...

天天進化熱潮已記不起  用霓虹去建設歡喜  雖則你我被每粒星唾棄  我們貧乏卻去到金禧
